Bird baths come in a variety of styles, from simple hanging bowls that can be used for water or bird seed, to ornate solar fountains that not only entice birds into your garden, but also lend your outdoor space a refreshing ambience with the tranquil sound of running water.

Bird baths are designed to be left outdoors at all times, but even the simplest require maintenance. For simple bird baths it’s important to top up and replace the water regularly, so as not to allow algae to form and to ensure there is always a plentiful supply when the sun’s rays cause much of the water to evaporate in hotter months. In winter, try adding a floating ball to the pool to ensure the water does not freeze and prevent the birds from drinking.
